This series of generator adopts harmonic excitation, in addition to the main winding on the stator core, there is another set of harmonic winding, which is rectified by the three-phase bridge silicon rectifier and then passes into the magnetic field winding for excitation. Since the third harmonic voltage will increase correspondingly when the motor is loaded, the self-excited constant voltage performance can be achieved without any other complex automatic voltage regulator.
This series of generators has excellent dynamic performance. It can directly start 0.7 times capacity squirrel-cage asynchronous generators without any additional starting gear transposition.
